Match Focus: Pirates face AFC Rushden & Diamonds

Real Bedford get their season underway on Saturday, 8th July, at McMullen Park in a pre-season friendly against AFC Rushden & Diamonds (KO 3pm).

Match Preview
AFC Rushden & Diamonds visit McMullen Park to face Real Bedford for the first time after both teams experienced very different 22/23 campaigns. While Real Bedford was crowned Champions of the Spartan Division One, Rushden were relegated from Step 3.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Real Bedford manager Rob Sinclair has already brought in multiple new players, most of whom will experience some time on the pitch this Saturday.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds have also made several changes to their squad. With many new faces lining up for the teams, this friendly allows both sides to get some vital game time ahead of the upcoming league season.

Tickets
Tickets for pre-season friendlies will be available at a reduced price, while season ticket holders get access to friendlies as part of their purchase. As always, U19s can come to Real Bedford matches for free.

Food and Drink
The clubhouse will be open before the game, at half-time and after the final whistle, with a range of food and drink available.

Merchandise
Merchandise will also be for sale in the club shop, including our 22/23 Champions hoodies and t-shirts.

Both bus routes 72 and 73 to Biggleswade also run services to the ground at regular intervals from Bedford Bus Station. For more travel information, look on the Real Bedford website.

Dogs
We are a dog-friendly club, but we advise owners always to keep their pets on the lead when inside the ground.
