The Women are Coming – Real Bedford Women vs London Seaward Preview
Our epic weekend of Bitcoin and football rolls into Sunday — and this time, it’s the women’s turn to chase glory. After the men’s title push on Saturday, the Real Bedford Women can seal their own league title with a win over London Seaward.
But Sunday is more than just a match. It’s an extension of the CheatCode weekend, and we’ll be kicking things off by celebrating the Women of Bitcoin. Hosted by Natalie Brunell, her signature all-women brunches have become must-attend events at Bitcoin conferences around the world. Tickets are free — you can find more info and RSVP here.
After the brunch, Real Bedford Women go into the game knowing that victory will crown them champions of the FAWNL Division One South East. Kick-off is at 2:00 PM, but come down early — there’s loads happening pre-match for fans and families.
We’ll have a BBQ firing up hotdogs, burgers, and more, plus beers on tap featuring all your favourite BrewPoint brews. It’s going to be a special day — don’t miss it.

Opposition Preview
Charlie Bill’s side are unbeaten in the league, winning 13 and drawing seven. This has helped them establish a five-point lead at the top of the table, ahead of Norwich City. Sunday’s opponents, London Seaward, have only won one match this season, losing 17 out of 19 in the league.
In the reverse fixture, the Pirates ran out 7-1 winners, with Abbie Bensted scoring a hat-trick, Amy McLean grabbing a brace and Laura Mitchell and Leyla O’Brien also getting on the scoresheet.
Title Permutations
Win – The title is ours.
Draw – If Norwich City fail to beat Actonians, we’re champions.
Lose – If Norwich City also fail to win against Actonians, we still take the title.

Chairman’s Thoughts
“This is it. The culmination of a long, hard-fought season for the women’s team. Only one team can be promtoed from this league — and on Sunday, it could be us.
The players and staff have given everything. Week in, week out, they’ve battled through tough fixtures, injuries, and setbacks to put themselves in this position. Now it all comes down to one game.
With the men chasing their own title on Saturday, we could be heading into Sunday with the chance to make it a historic weekend for the club — two titles in two days.
Up the Pirates”
- Peter McCormack
Join us for a historic weekend at The Ledger Stadium as both Real Bedford men’s and women’s teams look to clinch their league titles in front of a packed crowd.
