Mo Ahmed Joins The Pirates

Real Bedford are thrilled to announce the signing of Mo Ahmed ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 season.

The attacker signs from Newport Pagnell Town having helped the Swans to back-to-back Wembley visits in the FA Vase Final. Lifting the trophy back in 2022, Ahmed played key role in both runs in the competition. Having grown up playing through the MK Dons, Ahmed also spent time at Potton United, Hitchin, and Banbury with experience at varying levels of non-league football.

On signing for Bedford, Ahmed said:

"It’s a great group of players here at Real Bedford, the team is buzzing and has already shown strong competitive signs this season. Once Rob explained the club’s vision to me, I knew that I was keen to join this exciting project."

Manager Rob Sinclair stated;

“Mo is such a talent so I’m delighted to get him through the door at Real Bedford. His technical ability is unmatched and his versatility is also really beneficial for us ahead of a long tricky season. On top of this, he is an experienced character to have in the club and has already had a positive impact on the group."

Ahmed joins the squad with four pre-season games still to play. The Pirates play Cranfield at The Nest this Friday as they look to bounce back from a tough Tuesday night against a strong Corby Town side.

Real Bedford welcome Mo Ahmed and wish him all the best during his time at McMullen Park.
