Lee Watkins Becomes Real Bedford’S First Signing of the Season

Real Bedford are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Lee Watkins. The 23-year-old playmaker joins the club with an impressive track record, having previously played at Cambridge United, St. Neots Town, and most recently, Bury Town.

Watkins brings a wealth of experience to the Pirates' midfield. Known for his technical skills, tactical intelligence, and exceptional passing range, Watkins is set to become an integral part of Real Bedford's creative engine.

On his signing for Real Bedford FC, Lee Watkins said:

"I am buzzing to join the club and embark on this exciting new chapter of my career. Bedford's ambitious vision and targets align perfectly with my own aspirations. There are not many clubs like this one, and I want to be a part of it not just this season but hopefully long-term as well”

Manager Rob Sinclair, a former midfielder himself, shared his thoughts regarding the signing of Watkins;

"Lee is a fantastic addition to our squad. He has a lot of experience for such a young player, which alongside his great character and personality will prove invaluable in the changing room. I believe his presence will add a new dimension to our midfield and enhance our attacking capabilities."

Watkins' signing signals Bedford's desire to compete in Step 5 as they continue strengthening their squad for the upcoming season. Real Bedford Chairman Peter McCormack noted:

"After a great season, Rob and I got back to work, planning how to make another title challenge. The signing of Watkins matches our ambition for the club, and I look forward to seeing him line up for The Pirates."

Real Bedford welcomes Lee Watkins and wishes him a successful and memorable journey with the club. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for an exciting season ahead.
