Kerry Newman Signs for Real Bedford

Real Bedford Ladies can confirm that Kerry Newman has signed for the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The full-back joins the club from MK Dons having become a fan favourite throughout her time at Stadium MK. Having been at the club for over a decade, Newman sets her sights on an exciting new adventure at McMullen Park.

On signing for Bedford, Newman said:

“Having been at MK Dons for some time, I knew it would take something very exciting to move on from the club. The vision at Real Bedford and the team being put together by Charlie Bill is something I’m keen to be a part of and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Real Bedford Ladies manager, Charlie Bill, said:

“Kerry is not only a fantastic footballer but an excellent character to have around the place. She plays football with her heart on her sleeve & no doubt she will give everything to this club to meet the targets we set out this year. A full back who’s comfortable playing both sides & has superb defensive attributes to support with her ability to join in & attack”

Newman will feature across Real Bedford’s remaining pre-season games. To make sure you don’t miss a second of the action you can purchase your season ticket card here.
