Alfie Mumford Signs for Real Bedford

Real Bedford can confirm shot stopper Alfie Mumford will head to McMullen Park for the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

Off the back of a play-off winning season with Winslow United, the 20 year-old goalkeeper will join Rob Sinclair’s side for the upcoming campaign.

Having started as a part of the MK Dons academy, Mumford was crucial in Winslow’s successful time in Spartan South Midlands Division One last year.

On signing for The Pirates, Mumford said

“As a young player, I think a club like Real Bedford is the ideal place to be really. The coaching is quality and the club has a real professionalism about it. I can’t wait to get stuck in and continue to improve across the course of this season.”

Manager, Rob Sinclair said:

“Delighted to bring Alfie in to the goalkeeping ranks, strengthening our options in that department. After his successful season last year with Winslow, he’s clearly a player who is keen to develop and push up the levels. A great character who will fit in well at McMullen Park.”
