Amy McLean Joins The Pirates

Real Bedford Ladies can confirm that Amy McLean has signed for the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The forward joins the club from MK Dons after a successful spell at the club. With the ability to play across the frontline, McLean has previously been apart of the England Talent Pathway programme, after catching national news headlines, scoring 190 goals across three seasons for her local age-grade side.

On signing for Bedford, McLean said:

“Real Bedford seems like the perfect club to join as I look to develop my game and progress through the footballing pyramid. Charlie and his team have created a really professional environment and I can’t wait to get this season underway.”

Real Bedford Ladies manager, Charlie Bill, said:

"Amy is a versatile forward who can play anywhere across the front 3. Every year that I've worked on she has got better & better, I believe this is going to be a huge year for her with the experience she's already gained in the senior game. A forward who can look to both build & stretch defences, making her incredibly difficult to defend against"

McLean will feature across Real Bedford’s remaining pre-season games. To make sure you don’t miss a second of the action you can purchase your season ticket card here.
