Despite having never faced each other before the start of the campaign, this Saturday marks the fourth time these teams have met. With both boasting wins away from home, this game proves to be the most important match-up yet.

Real Bedford Vs MK Irish - 1st August 2023 (1-0)

The first game of the competitive season for Real Bedford came on a warm Tuesday evening back in August. With 362 fans packing out the ground, Joey Evans scored his first of many crucial goals for The Pirates late on to seal the win on the opening day for Rob Sinclair’s side.

Real Bedford Vs MK Irish - 19th August 2023 FA Cup (3-4)

Just a few weeks on from their first league meeting, The Pirates were involved with a 7 goal thriller with Irish at McMullen Park. Despite the visitors taking a resounding 2 goal lead, Joey Evans and Ben Stevens bagged to draw level before the break.

However, goals from Mason Spence and Ryan Smith secured the win for the visitors in the second half.

MK Irish Vs Real Bedford - 21st October 2023 FA Vase (0-5)

Real Bedford produced one of the best performances of their campaign to date in their first visit to the Manor Fields. Goals from Mo Ahmed, Ben Stevens and an unorthodox own goal via a Lewis Burgess throw-in were all met without reply from the Irish attack. Joey Evans also scored in this fixture making him the only player to bag on every occasion these two sides have met.

MK Irish Vs Real Bedford - Saturday 9th March

With the league held in the balance after a tough start to the year for Rob Sinclair’s men. Real Bedford now travel to Manor Fields in an attempt to break a 25 league game unbeaten streak held by Irish. With the end of season fast approaching this match will have huge consequences come the end of the campaign, in the race for automatic promotion.

Joey Evans (Right) remains the only player to have scored in every meeting between Irish and The Pirates.
