Match Focus: MCMULLEN PARK HOSTS FIRST LEAGUE ACTION OF 2024

The Pirates play Biggleswade United tomorrow in the men’s first home run out in the league of this calendar year.

Match Preview
Coming off the back of a confident win over Dunstable Town in the League Cup, The Pirates are looking to maintain their lead at the top of the table after their set back over Leverstock Green a fortnight ago.

Despite sitting 7th in the league, Biggleswade have only won 2 of their last 5 league games including a win in the week against Sawbridgeworth Town. Having lost out to Real Bedford in the away leg, Biggleswade have already seen success at McMullen Park this season, progressing past Bedford in the FA Vase in November after a tense shoot-out.

Tickets
Tickets are available here in advance on the website for both games as well as at the gate. As always, U19s can come to Real Bedford matches for free.

Livestream
Today’s game will be live streamed from McMullen Park head over to this page to watch the game. Note that only viewers from outside the UK will be able to watch the stream due to FA regulations.

Food and Drink
The clubhouse will be open before the game, at half-time and after the final whistle, with a range of food and drink available.

Merchandise
Merchandise will also be for sale in the club shop. Head into the club shop at any point throughout the day to use up that Christmas clash! New merch is now stocked an available for match day.

Parking/Transport
We are entering into an agreement with Bedford Town, Biggleswade FC, and the adjacent meat processing business (Dunbia) to manage car parking. The aims are to ensure visitor safety and maximise available parking. There are costs associated with this, we are therefore going to charge visitors £1 per car for the 2023/24 season. This is the minimum level required to meet our immediate needs.

Both bus routes 72 and 73 to Biggleswade also run services to the ground at regular intervals from Bedford Bus Station. For more travel information, look on the Real Bedford website.

Dogs
We are a dog-friendly club, but we advise owners always to keep their pets on the lead when inside the ground.
