Drew Richardson Joins The Pirates

Real Bedford are delighted to confirm the signing of Drew Richardson from Corby Town.

Having started this season at Corby, the versatile 22-year old has spent the last few years at near neighbours Bedford Town. Helping them with their promotion to Step 3 before leaving the club at the end of last season.

With the ability to play across the backline as well as in the midfield, Richardson provides added depth and quality to Rob Sinclair’s side.

On signing for Bedford, Richardson said:

“I’m buzzing to be here at McMullen Park. I know management team well and most of the players who have all told me how good of a group this team is. I can’t wait to get involved and push this team on towards a promotion push.”

Real Bedford manager Rob Sinclair was delighted to bring Richardson into the squad:

“Drew is a great character with a lot of experience for a player so young. He brings a lot of athleticism as well as being really comfortable on the ball. His skills and leadership will be vital over the coming months so I’m delighted to bring him to McMullen Park”

Richardson will be available for selection with immediate effect. The club would like to thank Corby Town for their swift actions to allow for the move to take place.

We wish Drew all the best during his time here with The Pirates.
