Alie Bangura Signs for the pirates
Real Bedford can confirm attacker Alie Bangura has joined the club from Leighton Town FC.
Having started this season at FC Romania, scoring 9 goals in 19 games for the Step 5 side, Bangura made the move over to Leighton where he impressed during his time at Bell Close.
Bangura was also part of the promotion winning Berkhamsted side, that won the Southern League Division One title during the 2022/23 season.
On signing for Bedford, Bangura said:
“The club is run really well, you can see that from the outside looking in. Therefore, I jumped at the opportunity to join such a club, with the coaching staff and quality in the dressing room also a massive pull. I can’t wait to get started and look to make a positive impact at the club as we look to push for the title this season.”
Real Bedford manager Rob Sinclair was pleased to bring Bangura to McMullen Park:
“Alie brings a great character which will have a positive effect on the dressing room. His experience and technical skill were also key factors in getting him through the door. Hopefully he can add to our already exciting attacking options and progress well during his time at the club.”
Bangura will be available for selection with immediate effect. With The Pirates set to face up against promotion pushing Leverstock Green tomorrow away from home.
We wish Alie all the best during his time here with The Pirates.
